Accessibility Statement
Construction estimates should be usable by everyone who needs one, on any device and any connection.

Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the site. We treat that as a target we design and test toward, not a certification we claim to hold — and where we fall short, we would rather say so on this page than pretend otherwise.
What is built in
- Keyboard navigation throughout. Every control, menu and calculator input is reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus styles and a "skip to content" link at the top of each page.
- Announced results. Calculator results are marked as a live region, so a screen reader announces the updated answer when your inputs change instead of leaving it silently on screen.
- Semantic structure. Real headings in order, real lists, real tables with header cells, landmark regions, and labelled form controls — so the page outline is navigable rather than merely visual.
- Reduced motion respected. If your system asks for reduced motion, animations and transitions are switched off.
- Light and dark themes designed to meet AA contrast targets, with your choice remembered locally.
- Responsive, zoom-friendly layouts that reflow rather than requiring horizontal scrolling, down to small phone screens.
- Works on a bad connection. Pages are static and lightweight, with no framework to download; the site caches for offline use.
Content accessibility
Accessibility is not only markup. Every calculator states its answer in plain language before the numbers, publishes its formula and assumptions in prose as well as symbols, and gives at least one fully worked example — so the result is available to you whether you read the interactive output, the text, or the table. If JavaScript is unavailable, each page still carries the formula, the rates and a worked example, which is enough to calculate by hand.
Known limitations
Honest gaps, which we are working on:
- Wide rate and comparison tables can require horizontal scrolling on the narrowest phone screens.
- Some calculator help text is currently terse; we are expanding it where the input is easy to misread — built-up area versus plot area being the main one.
- The site is in English only. Indian-language versions are on the roadmap but not yet available.
- We test with keyboard, zoom and browser accessibility tooling; we have not yet run a formal third-party audit.

Accessibility reports are treated with the same priority as a wrong rate — both stop someone getting the answer they came for. If you need a figure from a page you cannot use, ask and we will send it to you directly.
